It gives us great pleasure to expound on the value of the book, Trackeroo and the Crew, written by Hermien van den Bergh. The above-mentioned school was introduced to the manuscript, Trackeroo and the Crew, in 2012. Our learners and School Librarian were afforded the opportunity to work with the content to assess its relevance and applicability in a school environment.
Our learners and School Librarian, Mrs Anthea Parks, are extremely enthusiastic about the book as it relates to the challenges and choices of every day life. They were given the opportunity to read through and discuss the book and therefore were able to testify to the worth of the book. The content of the book is linked to the subject, Life Skills that is taught throughout the school. It can thus be used as an excellent resource book. Our aim is to educate our learners holistically and therefore we are quite impressed with this book.
We, as educators assist and teach them to accomplish this and therefore the book is such a motivation to all children and adults as well. The learners and librarian are also of the opinion that reading and interacting with the book assists them in relating to their own problems. This is vital in a society that is faced with many challenges. Reading is so important in children’s lives and the characters in the story, makes reading not only a learning curve but fun as well.
As of this year we have introduced the book to a core group of learners known as The Early Act Club at the school. The purpose is to experiment and implement the values that are in the book on another level. This group in turn can mentor the other learners at the school.
We therefore endorse this book as being relevant to the learners at the school as it is linked to what is being taught and also promotes the development of proud citizens and future leaders of this country.
Our good wishes accompany the author as she pursues her dream of having each and every child reading this book.

Trackeroo and the Crew where do I begin? Wow! The book is simply amazing. All the challenges our learners face, the choices they make every day, and what I try and teach them and bring forward in my lessons to them in the library is crammed into one book. Endless courage and honesty, I can go on all day long if I have to. The book should be in schools not only for the learners that they can read in the English class, but in the life skills classroom and also off course in the library. But the parents as well should read it because that book is an example to us as parents and educators. The characters in the book mentor the kids to stay on the right track in life!
The book is absolutely fantastic and will make an amazing movie! We all want to be on a mission with Trackeroo and the Crew!

The story TRACKEROO AND THE CREW is very exciting to read. It gripped my attention from the start and children who like adventure stories will love this book. If you finish the one page you just want to read the next one as you are so excited to know what will happen next. It is also an extraordinary book because when you read “normal” books there is no excitement, but this book is like opening the door to an imaginary world of excitement.
The story is sometimes funny when you read about the animals, but mostly scary when you read about the weeds and the Snatchers.
It is a book that parents and children can read together as they can share their thoughts. It will also be a great book in school. The story line children will enjoy a lot and there are many lessons to learn from the story, for example - I learned not be afraid.
Am I looking forward to the next one? OOH YES!!! VERY MUCH - I can’t wait to hear how the earthlings will be saved.
Do I want to team up with Trackeroo and the Crew to make our world a better place? MOST DEFINITELY!

I can well believe that Trackeroo will become a runaway success wherever it goes! It is unique, witty and captivating and it deals head on with the challenges that kids daily have to handle in our modern world. Violence is portrayed daily on screens, and children are increasingly becoming exposed to the wrong signals. This book is aimed to present ‘good behavior’ and ‘living with proper values’ as the most exciting way of life. If this book is put to use in schools and used as an educational tool, schools, without a doubt in my mind will transform and experience a rapid change. Violence, school bullying, disrespect towards figures of authority will become a rare event. Wouldn’t that be great? It’s truly more than a book, it is a companion and will be a friend to children even after the turn of the last page.

The surprisingly clever humour in Trackeroo made me crack up with laughter every now and then. The word-play is incredibly catchy, original, meaningful and funny at the same time. Fundamental spiritual and moral principles are creatively woven into the imagery of the story as well as the story line itself. Child and adult alike will, after reading this book, have a better understanding of human nature, where spiritual struggles come from, why and how it is to be conquered. This is a remarkable creative work of art. I can't wait to read Volume 2!

King Leo the Lamb sends them on a mission to the Concrete Jungle to launch a secret weapon that will destroy the Killer bug. which the Whicked Wheed's (the bad guy) witches clan concocted. The Killer bug can annihilate the whole earthling race. Along the way the crew learns valuable lessons to make the right decisions or face troubling consequences. They realise the importance of good virtues. This book ends very suspenseful and I can't wait for the sequel to find out what will happen to the Crew during the rest of their journey. This book is definitely one of my favourites!
