VALUES

Trackeroo and the Crew commemorate the life and legacy of Madiba who said,

“When I leave prison I want to forgive. I do not want to be in prison for the rest of my life.”

No one will forget the day on 24 June 1995 when Madiba gave a shining example of UBUNTU - his Xhosa tribe’s golden rule of love. He clothed himself in a springbok jersey to congratulate the winners of the game – the jersey and team symbolic of his previous bitter adversity. This humble reconciling and revolutionary act resulted in the country erupting with joy and the world watching in amazement the birth of the rainbow nation.

Mandela walked out of prison after a gruelling 27 years, a time I can’t even begin to fathom, with little bitterness in his heart and a mind set on peace and reconciliation.

It is forgiveness of such a magnitude, it is almost absurd.

It is this and other acts in his life that – as the hackneyed saying goes – speaks volumes. And perhaps it is the simplicity of this act that has stayed with us. Verashni Pillay deputy editor of the Mail & Guardian SA

We keep our hopes up for our world to follow in his worthy tracks and for our communities to once again become respectful, ordered and harmonious.

Mandelas passing will see a public longing for a return to his ethos.

Mandelas passing may inspire potential young leaders to respond to the calling of their fate. It may create an environment where people look back to the kind of vaue-based ethical leadership driven by a mission.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA

Exctracts speech UCT Capetown South Africa. 30 july 2013

Nelson Mandela showed us that one man's courage can move the world.  He calls on us to make CHOICES that reflect not our fears, but our hopes -- in our own lives, and in the lives of our communities and our countries.

Mandela's life stands as a challenge to the young generation, because they tell you that your voice matters -- your ideals, your willingness to act on those ideals, your CHOICES CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Africa is on the move, but it's not moving fast enough for the child still languishing in poverty in forgotten townships.  It's not moving fast enough for the protester who is beaten in Harare, or the woman who is raped in Eastern Congo.  We've got more work to do, because these Africans must not be left behind. And that's where you come in –- the young people of Africa.  Just like previous generations, you've got CHOICES to make.

YOU GET TO DECIDE WHERE THE FUTURE LIES.

Young people are the heartbeat of Africa's story. The demographics means young people are going to be determining the fate of this continent and this country.

None of us are fully free when others in the human family remain shackled by poverty or disease or oppression ... and too often, the source of tragedy, the source of conflict involves the CHOICES ordinary people make that divide us from one another --

MANDELA IS OUR EARTHLING HERO. WHY?

LIKE TRACKEROO AND THE CREW HE WENT ON A MISSION TO SAVE  EARTHLING CHILDREN. HE STAYED ON THE RIGHT AND DID NOT BACK TRACK OR GOT SIDE TRACKED BY THE LURE OF THIS WORLD.  HE LOVED ENOUGH TO GIVE HIS LIFE FOR OTHERS - AND THAT IS OUR

MISSION AND OUR MESSAGE.

NOTHING SHORT OF A LOVE REVOLUTION TO CHANGE OUR WORLD.

HUGHH?? WHAT IS YOUR TRACK RECORD HEY??
