Today's youth are technologically switched on. Unlike many of their teachers, they were born in a world dominated by information and communications technology, the world wide web, computers, smartphones, iPads, Kindles, iPods, Google, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. It is their reality.

 

An education system that fails to take this into account will be missing a unique opportunity not only to give real substance to child-centred education, but also to equip the youth to take their rightful place in the global community.

 

How quickly are children able to make the most of digital technology? Experience in the United States, Italy, India and Ghana indicates that, with the right sort of stimulus, children take to using technology with remarkable agility and enthusiasm, regardless of their backgrounds.

 

Worldreader, a non-profit organisation based in the United States and Europe that describes its mission as making digital books "available to children in the developing world", reported on the introduction of e-readers to primary school pupils in Ghana: "Students spent significantly more time reading outside of class, both at recess and lunch and at home, using the e-readers than they previously had done using paper books."

 

In another example, a class of 10-year-olds in an Italian school  was asked who Pythagoras was. The class was divided into groups of four, each with a computer, and the pupils were left to their own devices. In a short time, right-angled triangles started to appear on their screens.

It is the author's dream to create a TRACKEROO AND THE CREW MISSION STATION on the Internet, which will be a safe play, learn and support environment for children. It will be a place where Teachers Children and Parents meet, but each gaining access by a unique pass to share relevant information.  

 

The purpose is to create a moral literacy and character building curriculum, products and applications for children, using the theme TRACKEROO AND THE CREW the story line, characters metaphorical educational concept. The story is written with an African flair intended for a global audience. Millenium teens are growing up in a post modern world where they are flooded with choice and they need wise insight to successfully navigate themselves through life. The concept characters and storyline form the foundation for all products to be developed. The story is designed to be a never ending story that will serve the purposes of a subscriptin channel on the net. Multiple products and applications can be created as demand requires nd the process will grow purposefully and organically.

 

TRACKEROO AND THE CREW is on track with its approach and philosophy in an ever-expanding global media and technology landscape. It brings sponsors and investors in close range wirth a wide range of exciting products for a global children's market. The children's market constantly demand new content and product, which provides unprecedented opportunities for growth and expansion. Interested parties wil benefit tremendously given product creation and marketing is done correctly to meet the needs and expectations of the youth. 

 

The theme park on the net will be a virtual mission and play station that provides a fusion of play learn and experimentation with life's behavioral choices, right or wrong in a safe and highly packed fun environment. 

 

POWERFUL MARRIAGE OF THE TV AND PC ON THE NET. 

 

Film based video illuminates storytelling including audio streams voice sound and music, and moving pictures which is a cardinal tool in moral education. 

 

PC capabilities provide interactivity, touch screen, games, training, simulation, reinforcement, testing and feedback. It enables learning to become self paced when needed, and the role of teacher and parent can be facilitator.
