BACKGROUND



Teaching moral values gift wrapped in world class entertainment was born out of a passion of a single mom for her young son. She wanted to lift their lives out of the ordinary into the extraordinary, and leave her son a legacy. The mother has spent 10 – 13 years on and off writing and refining the story series. The first story was written before he went to school, and she brought the refining of the book to a close just when he finished his school career.  Her son helped with the final edit of the book and he directs the illustrations. The book inspired him to be a very caring and mission minded person. 



For parents and teachers concerned with the rapid decline of moral values, this book is a must have. The author has purposefully created a super glue effect on every page ( through a highly entertaining and fast paced style of writing ) so that young readers will keep reading while swallowing the wholesome pills off good moral values.

 

Entertainment is a "weapon" to capture the hearts and minds of children, and it has to be relevant and in step with millenium teens, and cannot be in the style of books written in a bygone era.

 

The clock is ticking different today. How do we get children to read books again, by adjusting the reading style to what the young modern mind are used to and like.

A book very influential in the lives of young children -  it will shape their values, behavior and ultimately their destiny. It is so that the life path of every child matters!

TRACKEROO AND THE CREW



THE STORY

 

Trackeroo and the Crew are going on a top secret and dangerous mission to earth. They have entered the earth's atmosphere via the roots of a tree. Their mission is to launch a secret weapon in the Concrete Jungle to annihilate a mysterious killer bug that the Whicked Wheed created to wipe out the entire earthling race.

 
The Whicked Wheed is enraged by their audacious attempt to sabotage his evil plan and commands his motley army of Snatchers to go on a rampage to derail their mission. The Vile Guile Ruler of Mayhem heads up this ferocious army, and reporting to him are Rabble Rousing Ringleaders and evil hordes the Robbers and Rogues.
 
Trackeroo and the Crew’s quest to save the earthlings from this evil onslaught unfolds into one of the grandest love stories ever told. Their mission is nerve-racking at times, but the antics of the lively mélange of cool characters are hilarious. They provide plenty of fun and smiles to calm down the nerves of anyone brave enough to follow their epic journey – the journey via the land of Honestasia under siege by the Whicked Wheed. Throughout the journey, the crew has to activate treasure-tracks – never trouble-tracks – to stay on track. The haunting question on everyone’s lips is whether Trackeroo and the Crew have the mettle to stay on track. Will they reach the Concrete Jungle and will they be able to launch the secret weapon? Will they and can they save the earthling race from extinction?

Trackeroo and the Crew is an action adventure story and makes use of a modern parable to impart timeless universal values. The story takes the reader on a rollercoaster ride of twists and turns, fun, scares and wild entertainment. There is plenty of action, danger, suspense and intrigue to keep the reader spellbound until the end.   The heart -warming scenes, humor and the lighthearted rhyme, and rollicking style of writing off set the scarier parts of the story.   The super hero’s in the story come alive in episode after episode of sheer adventure as they fight, persevere and sacrifice to rescue that which they stand for, and those whom they love. There are plenty of wacky evil characters and “gross out factor” that boys delight in. Girls like themes of fantasy, love, courage, beauty and fashion of which there are ample in the story.   TARGET AUDIENCE The primary target audience is Tweens, the "in between" stage when children are no longer part of the younger kids, but not yet teens. They are in middle grade school (9-12) and it is the stage when they are still open to adult moral direction.

 

The story appeals to all ages.

Adults get hooked on the story. They call it inspiring, hilarious and addictive. Refer to Face book comments. They appreciate the fact that it deals with all the issues that their children and grand children face.

The book is written with the aim of inspiring and motivating children to make the right behavioral choices in life. It fits in with character education and the life skills curriculum in schools.

 

Spirituality is a theme running through the book – but it does not persuade the child to follow a specific path. Rather, universal values and principles are modelled.

The story is never dogmatic, prescriptive or boring, because it aims not to moralise … but to mesmerise!

 

It promotes endless courage, love, responsibility, healthy self-esteem, diligence, forgiveness, social justice, equality and personal problem solving. It does not shy away form the tough stuff that children have to deal with like bullying, racism, death, violence, rejection and vanity, and it inspires children to make the right choices to stay on the right track in life.

AUTHORS MOTIVATION FOR WRITING THE STORY

 



It took more then 10 years to write the story. It is a craft honed by passion. Her keen desire is to impart positive values to children that will help them shape a better tomorrow. To do this I knew had to grab and hold children’s attention and that the entertainment value has to compare with the best in the world. I have written and rewritten each word and line more than a hundred times to get it just right. The concept and style required special effort and I trust that it will pay off, and that children around the world will love and enjoy the story for many generations to come.

The author's dream is for the Trackeroo and the Crew story and brand to become a trusted friend in schools and homes. Her original dream was to produce an animation film, but the dream is now bigger. It incorporates EDUTRAINMENT elemants that integrates in a PLAY AND LEARN MISSION STATION ON THE NET  to help tackle the global moral crisis. The idea is that various highly entertaining, educational and skills based products all work together to great a cool new culture and to get TWEENS  on the right track in life before they become Teens.
